The start of the construction season is getting well underway throughout Spokane County. Most likely one or more of the projects will affect your employees' commute. With spring just around the corner and gas prices on the rise, now is the perfect time to encourage your employees to use a commute alternative.
Area agencies that deal with transportation are coordinating www.SpokaneRoadFix.net to keep the public better informed about construction projects that will impact traffic. The website www.SpokaneRoadFix.net is a one stop shop that will give employees information on construction projects, how to avoid delays during their commute, up to the minute traffic information, alternative routes, bike routes and more.
Below are SpokaneRoadFix.net marketing materials for you to download and begin educating your employees about the construction projects in the area and the benefits of using a commute alternative. A 2011 Spokane Regional Road Construction map is available to download or from the home page there will be a link to view it. The one available to download is an 11 X 17 inch size and can be folded down to put on your commuting options board (white space needs to be be cut off to fold correctly). The map includes a summary of all the construction projects planned by Spokane County, City of Spokane, City of Spokane Valley and WSDOT.
Every Friday, a Construction Project Update will be emailed to all ETCs and posted under Current News on MyCommute.org. It will give a brief summary of current construction projects with time lines and information on delays. Please feel free to forward this to your employees.
