Yearly Promotional Campaign Summary

Below is a brief description of the campaigns offered throughout the year by the Spokane County Commute Trip Reduction Office. Employee Transportation Coordinators (ETCs) at participating worksites can utilize information and materials located on the campaign page to promote the following campaigns to their employees.

RideshareOnline.com - Ridematching is key to kicking off any promotion and can be utilized year round. This free online, confidential ridematching service helps employees find a carpool partner or join an existing vanpool. Encourage your employees to log on to www.RideshareOnline.com. To print double-sided RideshareOnline.com brochures to put in your Commuting Options Board, in payroll stuffers or on a table, click here.

Travel Green year round to help improve air quality, conserve our natural resources and reduce traffic congestion. How and what we drive to work is one of the most powerful choices we can make to help! The first month of each quarter, we offer a Travel Green campaign. Employees at participating companies have the chance to win awesome prizes by using a commute alternative and filling out their commute calendar. Participating companies receive campaign posters and can download marketing materials including sample messages, promotional ideas, flyer and much more to help promote Travel Green. Prizes vary from campaign to campaign, for a current list of campaign prizes available and additional material on the campaign, go to the most recent campaign marketing materials under More Tools. Below are the following months the campaigns run with a brief summary.

Travel Green. Live Green. in January! How and what we drive to work, what we use to heat our home and other choices we make every day impact the environment. The CTR Office partners with the Spokane Regional Clean Air Agency to encourage employees to travel green by using a commute alternative and to live green by making choices in our home that reduce the impact on the environment.

Travel Green in April! In the spring remind your employees of all of the great transportation options available in our community. A great element to the campaign is the Executive Challenge. The Executive Challenge is designed to let your executives lead by example to help increase employee participation in the campaign. An Executive who pledges to take the challenge will have his or her name included on promotional materials that will be distributed to participating worksites and to the general public.

Travel Green. Live Green. in July! Partners with Spokane Regional Clean Air Agency, the campaign stems from It All Adds Up to Cleaner Air, a year-around community education initiative designed to reinforce the message that individual actions, when taken collectively, can positively impact air quality in our community. In addition to promoting and encouraging employees to use a commute altnerative instead of driving alone, you can educate them on other ways to help our air including tips for refueling, reducing idling, green cleaning, asbestos, composting, equipment and barbeques.

Travel Green with Wheel Options in October! This campaign is great way to show your employees the positive benefits of choosing a commute alternative to driving alone. With summer over and the kids back in school, October is a great month to get employees thinking about using commute alternatives again. ETCs are encouraged to hold a transportation or benefits fair during the campaign. It's a great way to get to know your employees and assist them in finding another way to work.
