Take advantage of STA's Employer Bus Pass Program!
07/09/2008

Is your company or your employees seeking options to help with the cost of getting to work?  Spokane Transit has several options that can be of assistance.

  • Employer Sponsored Bus Pass program.  This program is an agreement between Spokane Transit and the employer.  If the employer has between 5 and 99 employees participating in the program and agrees to pay $2.50 or more towards the cost of the monthly bus pass, STA will match the employer’s contribution toward the pass (up to $2.50).  Therefore, the savings to the employee will be at least $5.00 on the monthly pass.  If any employer has a minimum of 100 people who wish to participate in the program, and the employer will make passes available to all employees at no cost, then STA will sell passes to the employer at a 25 percent discount.

  • City Ticket.  If you are an employee that works downtown, City Ticket is a great option to help with the cost of parking.  For only $19 a month, you can park at the Arena and take the STA Trolley to your work. The City Ticket is good for rides on the #1 Plaza/Arena route only.

  • Vanpool.  Are you in a location where riding the bus is not an option?  Then Vanpool could work for you.  All you need to get started is 5-15 people who live and work in approximately the same area that would like to commute in a van owned by Spokane Transit.  Vanpool is ideal for people who commute at least 10 one-way miles to work.  For more information call 326-POOL (7665).

  • Trip Planner.  Don’t forget that STA has a new Trip Planner on our website that can assist you with finding what bus route to take to get to work and back home.  Visit www.spokanetransit.com.  Also, a Customer Service Representative can assist you in this option as well.  Call 328-RIDE (7433) for assistance.
